Hello,
I recently posted a question here at knots, in the general discussion folder. It seems to me that folder gets more traffic than the other folders. Evidently I was wrong in posting it there, because someone moved it to another folder. Which is fine, but if you went to the trouble of moving the thread to another folder, why not email a quick note to the original poster saying ” hey, we moved your thread to a more appropriate folder”? I spent 20 minutes looking for my original post, in the wrong folder.

Mapleman,
Thanks for the note. We will start notifying the poster when we move a discussion.
Also, try this tip: In the left menu where it says "Show discussions..." choose the option "of High Interest" and it will display only those threads that you have participated in.

Thanks for the tip Matt as I never realized it was so easy to show the discussions I have participated in.
Life is what happens to you when you're making other plans .
If you like that one, try "Unread messages to me."forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
FG,
I guess that explains why I don't see my posts the next day, unless I click the "79,987 messages" link under the heading.
There should be an option in that drop down menu to email forestgirl directly, to answer our questions. HA HA!
Thanks FG,
Lee
I have no unread messages, am I doing something wrong?

People frequently respond to the last post in a discussion (i.e. reply to the person who created that last post), instead of replying to the original poster. You're better off following MBerger's advice about filtering on unread messages in "high interest" discussions. To the man with a hammer, all the world is a nail.
"I have no unread messages, am I doing something wrong?" Nope (well, not to my knowledge anyway). Just means nobody has addressed a post directly to you that you haven't already read.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the tip. I will definitely use that feature.
