Motor Wiring Gurus? Please have a look.
Got a new motor and hoping to get some guide to wiring. I’ve done some wiring but not an electrician by a long shot.
Unfortunately even though this is a Baldor motor they build it for a manufacturer so tech help isn’t readily available.
So if anyone out there is good with electrons could you look at the diagram and give me some pointers as to wiring for simple woodworking application.
Motors are pretty simple but I don’t want to trash my new motor by doing trial and error.
Just want to wire it up either 110 or 220 (probably 220, higher amp draw than I thought) to an appropriate on/off switch. The diagram shows 3PDT switch and not what I planned on using.
Thanks for any help.

Exactly what are you asking?
The 3PDT switch is a reversing switch. If you only need to run the motor in one direction, you can get by on 240V with a 2PST switch:
If the motor turns the wrong way when you power it up, swap wires 5 and 7.

Thanks,I guess I forgot to actually state in the post that I was wanting help with what I needed to tie together and what to ground for basic on/off one direction. But you seemed to figure out what I was getting at; the 3PDT was throwing me off but I wasn't taking into account that the motor would have needed to be reversible in its original use.Appreciate the help.
Don't ground any of the wires. ;-)

Right!I've been warned about letting the smoke out of electrical projects.
