As yawl (I’m a displaced Okie living in Texas) know, I make my own lathe tools. I have one beading tool and need more. But, where can I find circular grinder stones with different radius’s (radii?) at the cutting edge? The one beading chisel I made, I used a 3/16″ diameter diamond stone in my Dremel to cut the radius. Ain’t very fast doin it that way.

Mike, you can just buy a regular grindstone and shape it with a diamond grinding stone truing tool. Buy a narrow stone and shape the edge. Buy a fatter stone, and shape that too, etc. Both tools should be available from suppliers in Houston like Milcon, I think that's the right spelling, or from engineering supply shops. For grinding the bevels and shaping chisels of various sorts, I like a very coarse stone with lots of air spaces for the cooling effect and rapid metal removal. Slainte.
Hey Sgain -
Yeah, I've thought about doing that. Was hoping someone already made the stones in various thicknesses. But, none of my catalogs show such. I could easily round off 1/4" thick stones. I guess I could get various diameter files.
