HI,
Briefly…making some economy cabinets that need full extension drawer slides. Been using Duraslides and they are just too finicky. My drawers and cases are less than 1/16″ (if that!) out on a 18″ x24″ drawer and these slides are impossible to adjust. No play at all. They bind up, one broke, won’t square up etc..Everything has happened that could go wrong with these Dura slides.
The cabinets in question are in expensive but I’d like them to work right. Actually made with a nice faceframe and finshed off with some nice solid woodwork. I prefer to put the time into making nice doors etc…and not fool with slides.
Not too concerned about price. I have to retrofit 3 pair tomorrow and don’t want to spend more than $20 a pair. Need to be full extension and work with a 1″ reveal,(1/2″ each side)
Thanks,
Notrix

Notrix,
I don't have much experience with various slides but I do know Accuride fits your reveal issue and is about your price point..depending on lgth. As a beginner, I've had no problems with Accuride.
PS. Woodcraft is having a 20% off sale on Accuride

I don't know about Duraslides but every side mounted slide I have used, need exact side tolerances and square drawers. Sometimes you can use some thin shims to make up for slack side clearances. If you are either too tight or loose the slides will bind, especially with full extensions. The bottom mounts are more forgiving but they are expensive.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Economy seems to be the sticking point. No pun.
I've only used ball-bearing full extension side mount at the cabinet shop where I worked so thats where I'm coming from.
But Accuride and KV as well as others have adjustment tabs built into them. Your drawer can be as much as 1/4" small and they will take up that slack if you bend the tabs after installation (prybar). If its over that then you'll just need to attach a furr-out to the cabinet side.
If the drawer is too big then you'll need to trim the box. Hopefully your drawers have fronts that attach after installation.
Boxes do need to be square.
Try these guys, I've had extremely good luck with their product at a very reasonable price.

GREAT LINK!Sorry for shouting but that makes my day. I don't have access to the old suppliers now that I'm a small timer and those prices are more like it.
Shish those are reasonably priced! You've had good luck with them? I need a bunch of full extensions....

Notrix ,
K.V. 8505 is a 150 lb slide and they just came out with a 125 lb model for smaller drawers . These are what they call progressive type slides , and they do have some slop if you will built into them . They are extremely forgiving and smooth working.
good luck dusty
