I don’t post often but I have always received good info from the knots gang.
My question is about mohogany.
What other wood species coordinate very well with mohogany? I plan to finish the side table in clear finish. I do not have enough mohogany to do the whole piece in the same species. And no I do not want to go out and buy more mohog. I have a healthy supply of maple, cherry, walnut and sycamore.
Thanks in advance for the support.

Let's talk about style first. Is there a furniture period of interest, or other design parameters?
The piece is a campaign chest that will be used as an occasional table. It is a house warming gift for a friend.
BrunotheButcher, Walnut works very well Mahogany ,and builders have mixed the two for hundreds of years.
