Hudson Valley Carpenter.
I'd bet he'd know.
There's also a place in Saranac (south of Plattsburge on Rt3) called "Adirondack Hardwoods" that would have what you want. It's a little bit of a drive for you but not too bad. Just hop on I87, catch Rt 3 south and you'll see a DOT sign for it on the right just past the High School. You'll see a big blue building sitting catty-corner off to the right after you make the turn and come to the end of the road (short) -- that's the place. The owner's name is Hal Moore. His principal business is a cabinet shop but he provides kiln dried lumber at reasonable prices as a side business.
Here's a link to their web site:

thanks for the help!
My pleasure, glad I could help.
I've heard there is an exotic wood
yard somewhere outside of Saratoga.
Do you know anything about it?
Hmmm, haven't heard anything about it, but I would definitely be interested if you find out anything.
