I have used milk paint a lot over the years but have never had the need for alternate color with a rub out before protective finishes ( if any) – like black over red or dark blue over green. Now someone wants the “look” so….
How do most achieve the worn look with chests, tables, chairs etc. — 0000 wool, 200-400-600 -1000 grit papers, old denim, burlap, wood shavings, diapers? Not where to do it but your method?
Thanks

Some kind of abrasive will work, but you can also put some vaseline along the edges you want to show the "wear", and the topcoat won't adhere. I think there is more control with the light sandpaper technique.
