I purchased my mikron moulder about a year ago. It Does some things that no other machine can do, but the quality of the cut is terrible. I have 2 Wiliams and Hussey moulders that cost 1/10th the amount and the finish on these machines are excellent. The manufacturer is working very hard to find the problem but has failed to solve it. I feel that the problem lies in the main shaft bearings. They have sent me several new heads. When I check the run-out I can flex the shaft almost 3 thousandths. Does this seem normal?

If you get .003" deflection in a static test, I can see how you might get more when it's running. And if you get a harmonic situation going, it could be a lot more.
