I was flipping the channels and I ran across ‘This Old House’, they had a guy installing a closet organizer. He had a metal cleat that attached to the wall (essentially a long z clip), which had a plastic cover. The cabinet portion had adjustable clips that attached to the sides of the case (it was open across the back). It seemed like a pretty simple system, so I was wondering if the hardware was available? I’ve been looking at my usual sources and haven’t seen it… The product may have a name that I don’t know…
Anyway if anybody has any info, I’d appreciate it.

We've used the Monarch Metal clip but it's not quite like the one you describe. Probably the latest spin on it. Sounds like more of a qustion for Breaktime than the furniture crowd.
Rockler has a couple of varities of the cleat you mentioned. I've used them on several occasions when hanging large award plaques and donor recognition plaques. They go on fast, are very secure, and seem to be a good deal.
The ones I bought are 1/2 inch thick, but there are others that are only about 1/8 thick...
