Go to the Lee Valley - Veritas web site, look under "Magnets." I have some 1/4" and 1/2" magnets, and they are very, very strong! They have a wide array of size, strength and accessories.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bob, EbaY....Under tools and hardware. Caution !since they are very strong, you or the kids should treat them very warily. They are extremlybrittle and tend to shatter (Shrapnel?). They can pinch little fingers. Also keep them The magneta) away from those with heart implants and/or expensive wristwatches. Stein.
Not to mention computers and floppy discs.
Buying magnets on eBay? Boring! I'd much rather use them as an excuse to pick up a Lee Valley - Veritas catalog!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
forestgirl, I agree buy them from Ebay can be a little boring, but can be much cheaper. And yes these magnets can be very, very strong. I purchased some off of Ebay, they were salvaged from computer drives and had a nice plate on the back with holes for mounting. These magnets can hold 45Lbs each, when they stick together you have to slide them apart.
Bob, as steinmetz noted you should keep them away from kids. The force can pull them together quickly and smash little fingers, or shatter. We are the people our parents warned us about. J. Buffett
Or,T V screens (Gauses them up). Or, credit cards, car keys, ATM machines and worse of all, my tweezers and screwdrivers.
I inadvertedly left a magnet on top of the 'telly'. Drove my wife batty. Even when I discovered the rainbow had nothing to do with the lousy weather we're having, I moved it around to further perplex the woman. Stein
