Looking for File Cabinets, Prefer Mis…

Hi, Am trying to locate plans for file cabinets. As I say, I prefer mission style, but don’t require it. I suppose any plan can be varied, but I’m looking for 2 drawer, letter/legal size. Anyone know if such plans can be bought (if so, where)? Or have you seen such in a book? Thanks! Randy

Dear Randy/ All
Did you receive any queries to your posting. I am looking at building a mission-style office suite. While plans for bookshelves abound, I still need plans for a desk and also filing cabinets. Any information would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Barry Zajdlik
*Barry,I received the below responses from other inquiries I made. However, I finally made my own. It includes a desk that spans the narrow end of my long master bedroom. The end result is two work spaces. In between them is a chest that accomodates two latteral file drawers. Still in waiting are two non-latteral type two-drawer cabnets to go under the desk at each end. (Actually, one will be a dummy, housing my computer and printer.) An adjustable rail-type shelve unit is in the process of being completed on the wall in front of each workspace (for a total of two).Didn't use any plans, just a slow pace and a borrowed table saw (and dado blade). Mostly assembled with oak veneer ply. Exceptions include solid oak on the drawer fronts, desk trim, wall back splash, and square "mission" spokes. Can send you a picture if you like, but I'm sure it will lack detail suitable for a productive take-off.Good luck with your efforts,Randy----Hi,We have a file cabinet in Woodsmith No. 24. You can see what it looks like by visiting this web page: http://st13.yahoo.com/backissuesstore/wsback74.htmlOur online Back IssuesStore.com is not quite open yet, but you can orderb the back issue by calling 1-800-444-7002Hope this helps.---Randy, I've never seen a mission file cabinet, but I guess you could sort of adapt a plan to it. Rockler Woodworking and Hardware catalog has mission table plans that you might be able to use for the carcass.Regards from NM, Dale
