I’m trying to find a cabinet door stop or stay that would go inside a wood medicine cabinet to prevent the (already-hinged) mirrored door from hitting wall sconce shades either side of the cabinet.
Any ideas? I can’t find anything.
Can’t use stop hinges – hinges are already mounted.
TIA –

Jeff ,
A simple way is to use a small piece of chain or cable or whatever on the inside to limit the opening .

I am willing to do that if there's nothing else available.

I've seen curved door stops that slide through a fixed point on the other position (door or cabinet interior), but don't have a specific link for you. They are, however, pretty common in the brass hardware sections at suppliers.
Like a lid support? Would have to be small ...

The ones I've seen are largely free-floating, so I don't think they would work as lid supports. The curved section is about 6-8" long, and would take up about 3/4" or so, vertically.
I once came across a little gadget which consisted of a metal rod hinged to the door and a nylon block which was screwed to the base of the cabinet. The friction between the two dampened the door and a stop at the end of the rod defined the opening arc of the door.
I cannot remember whether I saw this fitted or in a shop. The downside is that the rod will hit anything in its way when the door closes.
If you like the idea you could probably make something similar.
That's the sort of thing I'm looking for - if I had to make it I could use UHMW plastic instead of nylon.
