My old table saw died, so I’m thinking about a
new one in the $1500 range. Any suggestions?
Is a delta 10″ a lot better than a Jet?

I hated my Delta, so I bought a Grizzley 12 inch.. $1495.00
Go to grizzley.com
I've just ordered Minimax's entry-level slide table eurosaw. Outside your price range? Remember the old advice - buy the best you can afford - it'll seem cheap soon enough!
Go to your local tool distributor and see what he has to say. You can get plenty of info from a tool store that carries tables saws, and tell you the difference between manufactures, and difference in saws. Also sometime you can get a good deal if you by the floor display, a saving sometimes of 10% good luck

Could not be any happier with my X-5 Unisaw. I take that back, I'd like a nicer polished table top like the Powermatic 66. The Biesemeyer fence (my 3rd on various saws) is perfect. Have always had good luck with Delta and have not tried Grizzly, etc and am unable to comment comparatively. I would have no reservations on highly recommending the X-5.
I hear from my local Woodcraft dealer that Powermatic / Jet is having some financial difficulties right now and that is being reflected in some less than perfect supplier relationships. My guess is that many acquisitions in a relatively short period of time have been somewhat challenging to perfectly integrate.
Buy a used Powermatic 66. I bought mine for $1,000, and I would not trade it for any other cabinet saw at any price. I have owned a couple of Unisaws, and they are good saws, as are the Jets, but I wouldn't trade the PM for any of them.
Of course I would dump it in a minute for an Altendorf slider, or even a MiniMax.

Both of those saws are excellent and should be a terrific addition to any shop. I'd also consider looking at the General International 50-260, Grizzly 1023SLX, Shop Fox 1677, or Bridgewood. The GI is very similar to the Jet, but with a fence that's almost an exact copy of the Delta Biesemeyer.
