None will stack up to a Unisaw, but the Bosch 4000, DeWalt 744, Ridgid 2400, top Craftsman and PC 3812 all get high marks for $~400-$500.
Thank you.
Thank you.

As in a new "portable" saw and a new Unisaw in the same sentence? ...good one! LOL!
I know it will not be a Unisaw or equivalent. What I need is something that will give me accurate results, is moveable and at a reasonable cost.
Thanks,
Stubby
Try a bosch Ts with a rousseau stand and fence. Will give you up to 40" cutting capacity and they have out feed tables ect and its legs folds up and you can set in a corner

Stubby,
Have you made your decision yet? I'm in similar circumstances as you -- looking for a quality benchtop table saw that will share space in my garage with the family car and the kids' toys. I'd like to tap into your decision-making experience so far.
Thanks.
Bill
I have been very happy with my Bosch 4000. Built extension tables around it, and have no problem handling sheet goods. The fence is accurate and stable, but you may want to upgrade the miter gauge. It has been problem-free for over four years now. I'd do it again if I had to buy another quality portable table saw.
Have had the 4000 for 4 year and it has been dandy to push around in the garage on its collapsible stand. Have one problem with it and the Bosch customer service said there was no solution: the fence is about 92 degrees to the table surface.
That's a big problem. Thanks.
This thread got me thinking about flat out asking Bosch to replace my 4000 fence that is 92 degrees to the table. Bosch just emailed that it will be here in 7 days!!! Cudos to Bosch for their good customer service on their 4000 table saw.
Thank you.
Have you considered the Rigid Contractor saw with the mobile base? You can move it out of the way when not needed and the recent WOOD review of saws in the $500-$700 range it came out on top with all portables falling below the lowest of the contractor saws. I think the Craftsman 2214 may have a mobile base and it is getting good posts and seems to go on sale and with other discounts can be had at a reasonable price.
Thanks. Have heard good things about the Rigid and Sears Models.
