I am looking for ideas or plans for library steps. I saw one somewhere that consisted of two or three steps spiraling around a center balance pole, but cannot refind it. That or other ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Re Library steps
Checkout this web site ; http://www.discount-books.com
They have listings of various types of woodworking books but they also offer ( for a reasonable fee ) a fair selection of furniture plans.I do know that there is one for a set of library steps. However it is a chair that converts to steps.I do recall seeing one book on their site that had a photo on the front cover of the library steps you are looking for.It is a book of projects made with a router. The namem of the author eludes me, so you will have to browse their site.
Good luck!
Colin Stokes
*Check Building a Houseful of Furniture by Simon Watts, Taunton Press, pp. 166-169. It's a Shaker style, 3 treads. Very nice.
