My shop is on the East Coast of Canada. Presently bidding on a contract for building and installation of a high end library. Trying to find a source for a wooden library ladder with roller and track system and can be delivered to NL, Canada . Thanks in advance to anyone who can help in this search.

I think Rockler delivers to Canada:

I got mine from "Putnam Rolling Ladders". They're in New York, but I don't know about delivery to Canada.
As a remodeler,I built a home office-library for a doctor, and he wanted a rolling ladder for some 11 ft high bookshelves. i bought one off ebay and thought I got a good deal. (The seller sent what they advertised, so no problems there.) It did not hve the rail, or the wheels, or some of the hardware, and it needed tobe refinished. The original Putnam label was stillon the ladder, so I went to them for parts. It was a hassel getting parts from them because they don't sell parts due to liability issues but we finally worked tht out. They sent a price list, and it turns out I would have paid less overall to order new from them, and I could have got a choice of stain etc. It was a quality ladder though, so I would second them as a source.

Putnam Rolling Ladders are the only folks out there. Without a doubt the meanest, worst company and company service I have ever seen in 25 years of woodworking. I will never forget how they treated me a year ago on a simple purchase. The product is OK, but the people you have to deal with threaten to cancel, call you names, refuse to give reasonable information (approx. ship date?), hang up on you, and in general treat you like they can since they are the only ones out there.
A perfect opportunity for someone to go in, set up a parallel company and product line, and whup their butts.

I've worked with these people and they were just fine -
