I saw an after market tool rest for a Jet mini lathe at a wood working show. I had tracked the source to a company in Miami, FL, but it has gone out of business. Does anyone know a source for the tool rest? It is made out of stainless steel pipe and appears to be very well made. The rest had the capability to lengthen the rest by screwing on a different horizontal tube. The gentleman using the lathe was demonstrating the Tormek sharpening system and he gave me the name of the company in Miami which I think was AAA Tool Co.

Bob,
You probably know that Woodcrafters carries an after market line of tool rests for the lathe. I know they fit delta, not sure about the jet mini.
Funny, Bob, I saw the same rest at the same booth, but the guy wouldn't sell it to me either!
Went looking for it (for my wife's Jet mini) and hit the jackpot!
The company is BEST WOOD TOOLS (out of St. Pete): http://www.bestwoodtools.com
Their T-Bar modular rest is the bomb! A little pricey when you add up all the parts, but all the rests thread onto all the different sized posts... so by just buying a post for each of my lathes, I can use it on any of them...
(if my wife's willing to share!)
I highly reccommend it.
