I am looking for a large dust port for an older Delta 14 inch band saw. Delta used to make one with part number 50-239. These are discontinued without a replacement part. Dose any know of a tool dealer that might still have one or if there is someone else who makes a dust port for band saws?

I ended up having a sheet metal guy make one for me. I wanted it to fit a large dust collector pipe. Works well. It took him about 30 minutes to make.

Iturra Design sells it. It was in the 2006 catalog. He isn't on the web but you can call them. 866-883-8064 They are very nice. The part number is 10058. Order the catalog too.

Just called them. They are out of stock and Delta is not making them any more. Iturra Design said they are looking into producing there own. It may be available in a couple of months. I did ask for a catalog. This is a company I have never heard of, thanks for the tip.
That's to bad. I was thinking about one.
You'll spend a day drooling over the catalog. They have some great articles on restoring bandsaws and reviews. I bought their high tension kit when I restored my bandsaw.
Here a link to my restored saw.

I also made my own dust port but it wasn't for a 4" port. It works well but I should add one at the bottom as well. Somewhere on this forum I posted a pic but can't find it.Len

That is very cool. I am somewhat surprised how much your old iron looks like my 10-year-old saw. I guess the technology of band saws has been around for some time. Taking two minutes to spin down is impressive. Mine doses not take any where near that long to wind down. I am looking forward to looking through the catalog and see if there are any things I can improve in mine. Do you have a pic of your dust port? I may be making one of my own.
Yes, if you follow the entire thread it's at the end. Also Ed has a picture of what he did as well.Len

Iturra Design is one of those "best kept secrets." They've been around for a long time, but are one of those family businesses that has no web presence, other than word-of-mouth in forums like Knots. An interesting read is from one of their 1990's catalogs where Louis writes an intro explaining how they almost collapsed under the weight of an onslaught of new customers after one of the mags published an article about a new product they had designed and were selling. Can't even remember what the product was (someone here will), but their customer base just exploded and it was a mad scramble to keep up with orders.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
You might check out the Grizzly web site. They have a catalogue that shows a few different sizes of after market dust ports you can add to any machine.
Hope this helps.

Besides the bottom port on Len's thread, this is what I 'crafted' LOL, for under the table.

Here it is connected.

The contraption is held in place with Lee Valley magnets. It works quite well, but doesn't permit the table to be tilted. It also must be removed to change blades, of course. It pretty much just pops in and out. The blast gate allows the lower port to work when the upper collector is removed to allow the table to be tilted.
