Would anyone who has attended a woodworking show recently please respond with what they saw regarding bandsaws? I’m leaning toward the Laguna 16LT but will consider Mini Max if near same price. Would very much like to get a 12″resaw capacity. Probably could get along with the Jet if it wasn’t 10″ capacity.
I have heard the following from various sources:
Jet – 10% off the 16″ and 18″
Laguna – nothing. I have read some comments that because Laguna offers nothing, it looks to them that Laguna doesn’t seem to be trying very hard to sell machines at the show.
Mini Max – Show discount, but don’t know what.
There is a woodworking show in Portland on the 15 – 17. Will go if it is worthwhile, but don’t want to waste my time.
Any other advice?

Hi Ichi7,
Iwent to the show in San Mateo, Ca last Sat. They had Laguna and Mini Max, also Jet. Delta was a no show? I don't know about Grizzly if they do show's or not.
The Laguna was being pushed pretty good. Nice saw's. This Show seemed a lot smaller than the last one I went to in Sacramento. I was looking for a Unisaw,
the only one I saw was a refurbished one. I wasn't Impressed with that, had to
order one from Amazon, they even raised the price $ 50.00 just in time for Christmas.

Hi
I have a lt16 and got it at a show. I looked for quite awhile before I finally got my bandsaw. The mini max had a more powerful motor (2.5hp+-) and a swing open door and 10" resaw for $1,695 +tax at the show. I looked a the jet also but it seemed less beefy than both the mini max and laguna, but it was costing only $1,095+tax. At the laguna booth they had one lt16 for $995+tax I asked about the 1"carbide resaw blade that was on it and they threw it in, so I bougt it right there $1084 after tax. I got it a the last AFWS show in anahiem, and it was a great deal. The motor is 1.5hp but is fine and does have plenty of power. The rack and pinion is not included and you need it, good thing is it only costs $35 dollars. The other really good thing is two dust ports, they keep everything real clean.
I've heard the mini max comes in a 13" resaw size. Don't know how much but 10" resaw size is advertised at $1,695 in a past fine woodworking magazine issue in the same magazine they advertise the 13 resaw model but it doesn't Include the price, that's probably a bad thing.
The lt16 serves me prefectly and I'll probably never buy another bandsaw. It exceded my expectations.
