Got to give a plug to an outfit called Warren’s Woodworks in Maryland. When I was looking for a source for GRK fasteners for the fin-trim screws for our deck, I discovered them on-line. Not only did they beat the local price for these screws by a significant amount — by having them in-stock rather than special order — they were quite helpful and friendly when I called their toll-free number, gave me a shipping cost and date right away, and had them on the truck pronto.
Chances of my needing GRK’s again are slim so giving them a thumbs-up here in case someone in their area wants to give ’em a try. Looks like they carry cedar, other softwoods, and hardwoods, custom mouldings and other good stuff.

WOW! I live here and never heard of Warren's before now.
Easton is on Maryland's Eastern shore where people are known for the kind of service you described. I think I feel a field trip coming on........
Have fun. Wish I could go too! Let us know what their wood selection is like.

always wondered what a 'kudo' was
Wikipedia says it best:
Kudos (pronounced /ˈkjuːdɒs/, often /ˈkuːdoʊz/), from the Greek κῦδος (not to be confused with κύδος "taunt"), kydos, (literally "that which is heard of") means "fame" and "renown" resulting from an act or achievement. Extending "kudos" to another individual is often done as a praising remark. It entered English as British university slang in the early 1800s.
