It started about a month ago and just got worse at Old Dusty’s kitchen thread:
When someone posts multiple photos my practice is to “open’ one and then hit the “back arrow” to return to the post to “open” the next.
Starting a month or so ago, instead of returning to the OP, I was sent to the previous discussion. Today I was directed to the Knots homepage. Why all of the extra steps to see multiple pictures in one post? –
or is it me?
Frosty
Talk about quick service ! I just looked at multiple photos on the Maple Build-off site and the “back arrow” worked fine. Many thanks to whomever.

Hmm. Are you talking about the browser's "back" button?
That still works fine for me. Must be something in your browser's settings. No change as far as I see on the site.

Yup! That's what I use. Fifteen minutes after my post I tried it on another thread and it worked fine. Gremlins - or quick service? I posted an edit of thanks.Frosty"I sometimes think we consider the good fortune of the early bird and overlook the bad fortune of the early worm." FDR - 1922

I've always suspected that there were subversives in the "piney woods of New Hampshire". Those Montana types are amateurs compared the you guys. Why pick on me? I'm just an innocent mid-western woodworker. Frosty,
Why pick on me?
Ahhh, call it our backwoods way of showing respect.

The answer to the Jeff invite is "No" - we''ll be out of town.As far as the other, I've been busy with a bunch of "other stuff' - primarily outside work on the property; mounting the bush (or brush) hog on the tractor, mowing, lots of mowing, etc. Plus, I've been bummed out by a rework I've got to do. I built a cherry candle-stand table for a son in Florida. Shipped by a 'shipping service' and it was trashed. Got a hundred dollars insurance - only after I convinced them it a hand-made by an 'artisan', not a WalMart special.Frosty"I sometimes think we consider the good fortune of the early bird and overlook the bad fortune of the early worm." Man that bites the big one. The stand looks like the Bees Knees too. But I'm sure you'll make it right.
They should pay for the damage and the repair as well as the return freight from you to your son I think. It's the least they could do in my opinion.
Back in the late 80s there was much talk of the coming years being the years of service and how thet projected service oriented companies would be the succes stories of the business world.
What they didn't mention was what constituted good service.

Hey Frosty, I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I've found that a better way to view photos is to hold down the "shift" key as you click on them. They will then open in a new browser window, letting you see the text and the photo at the same time if you wish, and just close the photo window when you are through with it. Your original window remains in Knots all the time, at the same place you were at when you decided to view the photo. Try it, you might like it.

Really great idea. Thanks. I WILL try it.Frosty"I sometimes think we consider the good fortune of the early bird and overlook the bad fortune of the early worm." FDR - 1922
