Ultra, you don't have to post your question in multiple topics. It may take a while before someone with experience on the Keller responds. What type of dovetails are you looking to make? I believe it is for through dovetails only. As with any dovetail jig there is a learning curve. I have found that there can be some blowout with many through dovetail fixtures. This can be abated with a sacrificial backer piece but the jig has to be able to accept this. The bits that come with the jig are 1/4" shanks with top bearings. Top bearings are nice but 1/4" shanks can break if pushed. With any dovetail fixture, stock organization is critical. You need to always know your tops from bottoms, inside from outside and lefts from rights. You also need to be very careful not to hit the fixture with your bits. I have a stack of PC phenolic plates that were hit by my students. I could repair some with bondo but others went in the trash.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Have you used Keller? I have one I don't get tear out - 1/4 shanks work just fine -but I don't ramem home making a cut. Yea they are through dovetails- I assume you just use dovetails on drawers that you don't see unless it open.
The Keller Jig is a very good and easy, makes perfect dovetails & box joints
I haven't pics. of my stuff but check this out can you PC do this?
