finally geting a real jointer, 8 inch is first choice , which one would be best for a small shop?

A question only you can answer. All the 8" jointers are ok stuff. Some are more expensive than others. Don't overlook Bridgewood, Sunhill along with the more known name brands. (Delta, Jet, General) Also, the newest 8" Grizzly is awesome and gonna give some companies a run for their money as it is priced right along with the Sunhill and Bridgewood. Look for the best deal shipped to you. Bottom line..
