I happened across this the other night. An interesting look into the activities of a Philadelphia cabinetmaker in the early 1700’s. Philadelphia was a sprawling city of some 2300 houses, at the time.

That is fascinating. Too few of us realize that that which is mundane in our lives today will be of interest to those in the future.
I have a diary for the year 1864, kept by my great Aunt when she was 16 . The condition of the roads she took to school: "sunny overhead, muddy underfoot", the weekly wash chore with boiled water, etc. are really interesting to read. I am trying to preserve some of what I have experienced in the remote chance it will be of interest in 100 - 200 years time.
