I’m looking to buy a new jig saw. Anyone got any input on the subject? I ‘ve been thinking Festool or Bosh. any comments?

I own a Milwaukee 6266 which imho, is a better saw than the Bosch 1587. Bosch upped the ante with the new 1590. As to Festool v. Bosch 1590 I don't think you'd go wrong with either one. The Festool is considerably more expensive (about $90) than the Bosch.......... I think it comes down to comfort and personal preference.
thanks. sorry just getting back to you , was tied up working on the election. trying to unseat the dictator.
So you live in Iran? Or China maybe Cuba. At least they do allow woodworking there
Panasch,
You may want to search the "Knots" site, as there was a recent thread that covered this subject extensively.
Unfortunately, when Taunton created "Tool Talk" they created enough redundancy to cause some of us to cry out in despair. I'm still not sure why "Tool Talk" is necessary, or why Taunton created it.
I love my Bosch, and have heard nothing but good things about Festool.
Good luck,

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.
