Well I guess its time to re-introduce myself… Some of you (F.G. :-)) might remember me when I was drinking……a lot….. my apologies to all that might have been offended by my drunken posting moments.
Anyway, sobriety certainly has its rewards. Since I quit the booze (two years now) I’ve had my bankruptcy recinded by paying my debts in full. I got my house back from the lenders and found a job where I get to play with just about any type of woodworking tool and equipment I want. The darn cat is still mean as heck and I can’t quite figure that out but I can live with that.
Anyway, if you all have a particular “woodworking” tool (had to be specific here) problem, I do have the means to check most of them out or talk to my vendors directly about it. Sometimes vendors are hesitant to admit to problems until they are too big to hide. Once in a while I get the wrong info and pass it on unknowingly but I usually try to check it before I go to press with it.
I also want to make it very clear that I am back here because I find it a great place to learn what folks want from their wood working experiences. I am not here to sell anybody anything but I can if you request it. I’ll be upfront with you all. I would rather see you all buying from your local resellers rather than me, (unless of course it is me..LOL), or the internet but sometimes money is tight and saving a buck is more important at the time. I can certainly relate to saving a buck whenever possible.

WhatKnot,
Congrats on the straight and sober. It usually makes life alot easier when you remember who you've insulted and for what reason.
So, tell us, where do you work that can offer good prices?

Hi, WhatKnot, pleased to meet you.
As a relatively new contributor, I can happily confirm that you have not offended me in the slightest.
I look forward to reading your contributions to this august body of crafts-people.
Take care, and stay in touch

Hi Steve I believe I've read many of your posts several years ago. Welcome back to the board and welcome back to humanity.
