I am installing a random mix red and white oak hardwood floor. Will there be a glaring difference in color that would make the floor unattractive?? Has anyone done this before?

No problem If you like red and white boards! I presume you have finished out a few samples?
*I did a large room in mixed red and white oak, it came from the sawmill about 30% white, the first 10 ft looked terrible so I took it down and used all the white in one area and the red on the other walls. If I had to do a mixed floor, I'd use the white for banding around the outside and the red in the field.
*I agree. I have installed both woods. Together IMHO they would not look very good.
