Sorry to ask such a novice/fundamental question, but I’m working with some MDF and wondered if I had a scrap piece that one or all sides have been cut somewhat irregular, how would I go about squaring up the piece? I ran one piece through my table saw and realized that if the side that was against the fence wasn’t square, then my cut probably wasn’t either.
Thanks.

Here is one way and it's pretty easy. Using a framing square and a straight edge, clamp the straight edge square to one side then use a router ( for a clean cut on melamine or plywood) or a circular saw to cut the panel square. Or if you have plenty of waste you can screw the straight to the panel and use your table saw to make the cut.
