Hitachi Router on Amazon, insane price?
I wonder if this item is mispriced.
Hitachi KM12VC 11 Amp 2-1/4-Horsepower Plunge and Fixed Base Variable Speed Router Kit with 1/4-Inch and 1/2-Inch Collets
$8.60 plus $10 shipping.
Seems legit.

I just got off the phone with amazon. The router in question is being sold by a third party. Amazon holds my credit card info. not the third party. Amazon informed me that the seller can't charge my credit card 400 dollars they don't have the CC number meaning that if the routers are not the price advertised the seller would have to inform me of the discrepancy then let me opt for cancelling the order.
I just ordered 2 of the kits.

Webby,
Thanks for the heads up. I ordered one. Now lets see what shows up.
RGJWe only do this once. Enjoy the ride.
Yeah, well see.Webby
Does anyone know if that motor will fit a 690 base? It would be nice of it would drop into the base on teh router table and keep me from having to redrill my plate.

Wow! That's crazy! I just ordered one. I recently bought a used Leigh D4 dovetail jig and was thinking how nice it would be to have a 2nd router for use with that. I'm expecting to get an email saying that price was a mistake but it's worth a try!
You cannot have enough routers!
This topic is already up to eight pages on WoodNet, and nobody knows yet if it's a legitimate price.
I just visited Amazon and the cheapest kit is $140. I guess I missed the boat and it probably was a typo.Chris @ http://www.flairwoodwork.spaces.live.com(soon to be http://www.flairwoodworks.com)

Someone on another forum got a cancellation e-mail two days ago. It was obviously a typo which should have been suspected from the beginning.
Sarge..
