hitachi C10FCE2 10″ Compound Miter Saw
hey i was wondering if anyone had anything to say about the Hitachi C10FCE2 10″ Compound Miter Saw. i need to get a miter saw for my next project and this one looks well made and is at a good price. if anyone has anything to say about this miter saw then please leave a comment as i want to buy a decent miter saw so it makes cutting miters and bevels easy and so it doesn’t break down.

I've owned a Hitachi C10FS for seven years ( I think) and it has been flawless. The blade that came with it has run through about 5000 cuts and still leaves a glass edge. The slide rails are as accurate and tight as the day I got it. Same with the angles and preset indents. Don't know anything about the FCE2. I don't do construction so I don't know how it would take abuse in the field. The brands (including the Hitachi)I have seen in the field all look like hell so draw your own conclusions.

I have the Hitachi and would purchase it again, if there is a disadvantage it would be having to push a button with your thumb inorder to activate the switch.
One of my quality control tests is to look real close at display models At Home Despot.
Those things get destroyed at an incredible rate!
So anyway I noticed the twelve incher had several plastic knobs broken off, and the miter lock was getting sloppy.
If you are not buying a sliding miter. I would get the Dewalt 10" I have the Hitachi 10"CFS and it is a great saw. By the way just take the handle apart and buzz off that safety button and all you need to do is pull the trigger.( You did not hear that from me) I don't think that 10" Hitachi chop saw is too well thought of. If you can only afford $200 I would get something else. The Hitachi CFS is on about every construction site I ever been on. All the trim carpenters have at least one of those.

Take a look at this review of a similar saw in the FWW.Com Tool Guide:
