This concerns another question about the thrift shop retangular drop-leaf table which has one gate-leg set in the middle to support the 17×41-inch drop-leaf. Upon further consideration, I realized that someone installed two drop-leaf hinges backwards so the legs could be swivelled out. The board inserted in the gate-leg is 4-5/8 inches wide. Each of the two hinges are 1.5 inches wide and were set apart about an inch. What type of hinge should I be using to attach the arm of the gate-leg to the side of the support wood for the top so that each leg will open 90 degrees and no further?
Thanks,

Instead of using a hinge with a built in stop, most gate leg tables are set up with a small stop block screwed onto the underside of the table top that stops the leg in the proper position.
