If some of you champs could have a look at this project and aid in a bid it would be a great help. I typically do material x3 or 4, but this involved some client provided wood and I’d just be interested in seeing what others might bid this project for.
two display cases 48″ tall 30″ wide and 18″ deep.
each case is open on two sides with two fixed shelves. ( biscuited in)
face frames out of client provided CVG Fir ( we milled to thickness)
Fir moulding around the top
simple leg construction
I know my material cost as I’ve finished the job, I’m just curious what others would charge and how long it might take them to make.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hambone;
Do you want to know my hourly rate or would you rather me give you a fixed quote for estimating? :)
Kidding aside (mostly) specifics might be easier to answer rather than a wholesale answer here. Figure out what the material is worth which the client is throwing in and use your regular multiplier. Looks like a very straight forward project.

*Just a few questions Hambone and I can give you a breakdown of how I (my company) might price your project. 1. Shop built or site built? 2. Is installation to be included? It looks like they're going to butt up to something. 3. If installation is not included are they going to be delivered or picked up? 4. What about the finish on the pieces? Are they raw /un-finished or what? 5. Solid wood or edge banded fir ply? (Doesn’t matter that much on a piece this size but still qualifies as a question in need of an answer. 6. What does "simple leg construction" mean? 7. Are the capital as base molding profiles stock or shaped in the shop. I actually have project from a few years ago that actually included a painted version of just what you've drawn here so I can look up the records on that project too.
*Shop builtno installation necessarydelivered locallyunfinishedsolid wood edgingas far as the legs, just assume no legs, and no trim at the bottom. The case just sets on the ground without any further ado (customer request)The capital are s stock moulding at the local trim place.Thanks for the help. We actually built them at an hourly rate plus material, the client balked at the final price which was was below what they're worth in my opinion, but we were doing a favor for a friend of a friend...At any rate I was just wondering what someone else would have charges so that I can quite the voices in my head.Thanks for your help.Kelley
Would you consider doing it as a favor?
