A virtual bench cookie to anyone who can help me find a lost post… Right before the forum switchover, about noon yesterday, I posted a long, rambly post on why we were moving to Drupal. Titled something like “My Two Cents on the Forum Change.” I’m looking and looking but can’t find it. While I’m not too concerned about the lost post, it makes me a little worried about a data black hole. I may just not be looking in the right spot… but rather than fret about it, I thought I’d try to crowdsource this problem. Any thoughts? Thanks for any assistance. Gina FineWoodworking.com

Gina,I do remember it. Same thing happened to several of my posts and at least 6 others that I was following.
I think one of your digiheads was giving you the business when they said all data was transferred:)
I not only remember it, I replied to it. I have a number of posts missing as well.
I tried responding here a minute ago, after I hit save I ended up on a error page.
Error 503

Hi Gina
It appears to me that there is a missing block of about 6 - 12 hours, all occuring before the old forum was suspended.
I do hope the posts can be retrieved and added as a lot of time and effort by many went into these, and some of the threads now appear as if the last contributor was rudely ignored or conversations left hanging :)

Derek,
That's what happened
Derek,

Hi BB
That would be one of the posts that has not made it across. Hopefully we will still see it.

I'd try to help, but I'd never eat a cookie after it's been sitting on *my* bench. ;-)
