George closed his shop in Sequim WA. and moved to LA.
He left behind his lumber rack full of stock and big tubs of hardwood shorts. It needs to find a home this week.

Thanks for the photos and info. I'm swimming in dimensional lumber right now, would like to find some stuff suitable for turning.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Yes lots of stuff for turning
The sun is out in Sequim good day for a drive.
Call me 360-808-2323
I'll call you tomorrow (Wed.) I have appointments at the beginning and the end of the day, will see if I can sandwich something inbetween.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
To late, the woodworking school in Port Townsend is coming to get it in the morning.
That's great! Going to a worthy home, bet there won't be any left when I take my next turning class in May 2010, LOL!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Figured you would jump on that:)
It's only 60 miles away, pick up a load, eat lunch in Port Angeles, drive home.
Next day - repeat.
(there might be turning blanks in that pile).BB
Whoa! Port Angeles? You must mean Port Townsend -- P.A. is alot further away, LOL. It takes me about 50 mins. to get all the way to PT, Sequim is closer. Great eatery in Chimicum -- Chimicum Cafe. You're right, turning stock is what I hanker after....forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Got my ports switched :)
Hey F. G. Glad to hear the Chimacum cafe is still in business. We lived in the hills between Sequim & Port Angeles for about 15 years. My favorite Sunday breakfast was at that place.
I'll bet they have a fabulous breakfast! Yep, they are there and seem to be doing quite well. I like the Spruce Goose in P.T. also, but the Chimicum is (a) bigger, (b) warmer and (c) bigger menu.
Only disappointment I've had at the Chimicum was a piece of apple pie last month, the most boring apples -- very bland, not tart and juicy the way we like that pie!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
