I purchased a grizzly gun set. two guns with a .8 and a 1.4 mm tips. I was hoping to use it for some latex paint spraying. The manual says not to use with waterborne
materials. I checked out the Cobalt guns at Lowes. They look very similar to the
Grizzly and they can be used with latex. What is the difference? Anyone?

Some parts of the gun are probably made of steel and will rust with waterbornes, as opposed to parts made of stainless steel, aluminum or plastic. Also, .8 and 1.4 mm sound pretty small to spray latex without a lot of thinning.
Is this gun gravity or suction feed? With the former, you rely on gravity to get the heavy-bodied stuff into the gun; suction feed would be better (I've sprayed thinned latex with a 1.8 mm suction feed DeVilbiss), but pressure feed would be your best bet for water based coatings.
