   Yes.  I was sorry the day he passed away. I had the pleasure of photographing him several years ago. Only man I ever met in a rhinestone studded bright red suit.

   Yes Greg, I too sorely  miss the man.  Was also sorry that the Gran' Ol Opry didn't do a feature when he passed.

   And yes actually when I was much younger on the farm we also had rat killin's all around the old corn crib.

   Have you heard his story of "the big red goat"   It seems that Claude and Newgene Leadbetter were walking across the field when they spied  this here hole in the ground ....,, I'll have to see if I can find it online and post it. I just love his humor. But as he says it's pure country humor, you almost have to be country to enjoy. 

   I  truly belive as he once said that good clean humor is the common link to pull souls together.  AMEN
