I use a plywood topped table to do my glue-ups on. I spread a sheet of construction paper over the area, then toss the paper away when I’m done. Besides the waste of paper, once in a while the paper gets more involved with the pieces I working on than planned.
I recently read that wood glue won’t stick to a polyureathaned surface, so I’m thinking of putting a coat or two on and stop messing around with the paper.
Does anyone else glue-up directly on a PU surface ?

Tom, if I were you I'd stick a HPL like Formica over the tabletop. It's nice and smooth, and hardened glue just pops off with a little prodding.

Tom,
There are lots of good solutions, but for future reference, if you use freezer paper glue will not stick to that either. I roll my freezer paper up when done for future use.
Also, wax paper works fairly well..and can be balled up when finished and used to wipe down TS for a bit of waxing.
