glue for leather stropping forms for car
The title says it all. I am making some stropping devices from wood and leather for carving tools, and need to glue the leather to the wood. What would be best? Hot hide glue would be my preference, but have most of the common glues. Anyone have advice or experience? Thanks.

I always use the hot hide glue for this purpose it has one big advantage over yellow glue (when gluing leather), that once you attach the leather to the wood it stays in place, and it is especially important if you have to glue over the edge, or a curve, then with the yellow glue you might have to press the leather down for a few minutes, in order for it to stay attached, whereas hide glue saves you this hassle.
Gal,
Thanks to you, and the several others. I was thinking that hot hide glue would be easier for installation.
