Just purchased and used the jet Slow Wet Grind. Absolutely love it. Still trying to figure the best way to the backs dead flat. Working on the side of the wheel is not ideal and can easily ruin a chisel or whatever. Have deciced best bet is to flatten with my diamond and waterstones and then go to the wet grinder. What do you think?
Never been sharp before.

While I use the side of the wheel a lot it is not the way I flatten the backs of chisels or plane blades. Glass plates, dead flat stones or diamond plates are the tool for doing that job right.
