   Gina,

    Here’s a few of the things I’ve learned about performing upgrades over the years;

    

   1. People like to complain
   2. Don’t sweat the small stuff
   3. Everything is small stuff
   4. Lock the doors to the server room before starting the upgrade
   5. If you feel like crying, laugh, people will leave you alone
   6. It all works out
   7. A shot of Jack Daniel takes the edge off afterwards

    

   After every major upgrade I would walk outside and marvel at the night sky, it puts everything in perspective.

    

   And finally ask for a big bonus after it’s all over, you deserves it.
