I recently changed ISP from a well known expensive provider to a local not-all-that good, but cheaper provider. Well, now I can’t log into this forum with my forum name and your software doesn’t provide for this problem. No matter how I go, you’ll send the new password to my old, inactive, email account and I cannot direct it to my new, active, email account.
I post as “telemike” (because, besides making sawdust and chips), I’m one of those aging guys telemarking snow fields all over the west coast.
Please fix the telemike account and send me a new password, or just change the email in the account. Let me know by email – this user name (lame user name) has the correct email account. I have lots of good information to share – about 1/1,000,000th as much as I have to learn.
Thanks

I'm not sure if this will fix enough to make you happy, but you can go into "My Forums" (upper right of this page) and change your nickname to anything you want. (This can have amusing results. <G>)
This will change the name that appears on your "From" line in the post so we can recognise you. It doesn't change your username, a different entity, but who cares?
Did you try the "change your email" option? I guess I'm a little confused, but if you know your original name and password, you should be able to do this. Go to "My Forums" and click on "Change My Preferences".
At any rate, if you don't get anywhere, you can email Mark at [email protected] and he can help.
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
