Two suggestions I've heard are ask everybody you talk to, and put a sign in the window of your car. Asking at suppliers probably wouldn't hurt either.
Where are you looking? Are you looking for a space that's already in use or shared (as in a co-op), that you could join, share or borrow, or are you just looking for empty space that you would outfit on your own?
