I have been feverishly looking for a place to order a Flaming Urn Wood Finial for a Georgian Mirror I purchased. I’ve looked at Vandykes.com, Woodworker’s Supply, etc. but have been unsuccessful in finding this particular style. Please Help!

I don't know where to buy a pre-made flame finial, but they're very easy to make.
Turn the urn with a pointed oval shape on top. Spiral up the oval with a thin strip of paper in two places on opposite sides. With a gouge, carve a groove between the lines. The carving shouldn't take but about 10 minutes. Give it a try. You'll be suprised how easy it is and how well it will turn out.
Regards,
Carl
Thanks for the wood carving tips
As an FYI:
LeeValley: http://www.leevalley.com , only had Decorative, Curtain Rod, Victorian, Acorn, Colonial, and Emperor styles
Rockler's: http://www.rockler.com , only had carved Oak, Round Wood, Standard Urn - Sanded Finials
Renovator's Supply: http://www.renovatorssupply.com , only had Finials for Lamps
Cherry.... couldn't find
Klockit: http://www.klockit.com/ , Urn, and Ball-top finials, smaller and larger ball-topped.
It was a bear to find the Flaming Urn representation that was consistent with the style in that period!
