That depends on the thickness of the sheet goods - now gimme that 3" plywood sheet :o)
No, honestly - I think for that purpose the smaller saw will be nicer because it is lighter and thus easier to maneuver. I only have the predecessor of the TS55 (ATF55) - bigger snot always better. I hardly ever miss the capacity and power of a larger saw.
You can't gang cut as many layers, that's the downside from my perspective, but not a big one.
