I have a 50-inch Powermatic Accu-Fence that I am going to mount on my right tilt Delta Contractor’s saw.
I need to redrill the rails to match the holes on my saw, so I am debating whether to keep it as 12-in left, and 50-in right, or shift it over ten or twelve inches to the left. This would give me 22-in left, and 40-in right.
I do basic hobby wood working with it; bookcases, gun cabinets, picture frames etc. I have never actually cut a beveled edge on anything wider than ten-inches, or ripped anything wider than 36-inches, so I’m kind of undecided. It is the same amount of work either way.
So, the question is do you think it is better to have more capacity to bevel the edge of panels, or cut wider panels?
