I’m going to buy the Fein II but the tool package is a bit pricey. Seems to me I’ve read that one can buy the needed tools and hose at HD. Right or wrong?
Thanks for the help.

I have the Fein III and I just use my fittings from my Sears shopvacs. Any fittings for 2.5" hose will work, so I bet the HD stuff will also fit. I am pretty sure the vac will already come with a hose, mine had 10' with it. The vacs are nice and quiet, just don't expect the same amount of suction you get with a 5hp noisy shopvac.
Ed is right in that the Turbo II comes with a hose, but be advised that it is a different size then the Turbo III's. The hose is 16' with a 1-1/4" diameter. Some places like Woodcraft sell the Fein attachments separately. I find the crevice tool, brush, and extension tubes to be the most useful, and you can get those for about $20. Not exactly cheap, but they'll fit for sure. Home Depot would probably have a Ridgid tool package so make sure the two systems are compatible. Fein offers a step adaptor (about $2.50) that may be helpful. Of course, the Mini Turbo comes with all the tools and is a better value in my opinion, but I'm guessing you picked the Turbo II for a reason (auto-start?). By the way, anyone check out the Turbo II PE with the pneumatic port or the Turbo IV?
