Experience with On-line Draw Box Orderin
Has anyone used those on-line drawer box companies. I have a few projects with about 15 drawers and don’t have time to mill, cut and get my PC omnigig going, let alone the sanding and finishing.
Any favorites, ones to stay away from?
Thanks
Tim

You buy a cheap tool twice and then you're still stuck with a cheap tool!
A friend bought drawer boxes from Western Dovetail (http://www.westerndovetail.com/), and was quite happy with the result. I looked at their prices and decided I'd rather continue building my own. Of course, your time/cost trade-off may be different from mine.
Jamie,
do you remember what the prices were on average per drawer?

I make drawer boxes for a local cabinet shop on occasion and I charge $25 to 45$ per depending on size. A drawer 8" high x 20" wide x 18 " deep will be about $37.00 made from soft maple, and finished sanded ready for finishing. The cabinet shop says I am competitive with their normal source.
I've only ordered from one company (local enough that I can drive there with wood for special drawer frontsw) and they do a very good job. Drawer Box Specialties, Orange, California. I'm not sure what their web site is, but you can easily find them.
They are wholesale only, so you'd have to set up an account ahead of time. They do ship.
