Eucaliptus? don’t even know how to spell
Had a buddy the other day bored out of his mind grag a log off the firewood pile. He took it to the band saw and cut it to see how it looked. WOW!!!! Eucaliptus< can’t spell it> is beautiful. So here is the question. Is it considered a hard wood, is it stable, and to what extent can it be used in furniture/cabinet making?

Hi,
Eucalyptus goes fine in furniture, some grades are prone to surface checking unless quarter sawn and some are more suited to furniture than others.
A lot of the stuff here (just one gallery) is made from eucalypt.
