Next time you need to make a new baseplate for your router, try this out:
take your router and either scan it with your desktop scanner, or photocopy it (run out a bunch of them for the future). Tape down the photocopy to whatever material you’re making your baseplate from, then just drill the holes as you normally would . Because you’re using a photocopy of the exact placement of the screws, you can drill with confidence, and no measuring!

Yup. But you need to make sure you're always working with a direct copy, not a copy of a copy, because few copiers or scanners produce exactly 100% scale copies. A copy of the original will be very close to the right size, but it you start making copies of copies, the errors will stack up on you.
