Just got DW733 thickness planer. Due to space considerations, I am thinking of just mounting (when using on a benchmate with clamp down of course). Any pros or cons to this? Have a more stable bench of course, but in use most of the time.
Appreciate feedback
Thanks

I mount mine between 2 fold-up metal sawhorses with 2 x 4 wood tops. In the wood tops I put the clamp mounts from Rainbow Canyon Mfg. here in Calif. The mounts are the ones that are threaded and epoxied flush into the wood and then take a 3/8" bolt. Since the bolts are removable, I can mount the vertical RT, the small BS, the CMS, etc as needed and the sawhorses fold up when not in use and hang on the wall.
Used my 733 on my workmate clamped down successfully for a couple of years.
Thanks!!! This may be the way I go for a bit.Ron from Pittsburgh
